Now, I suppose a little disclaimer is in order here. If you follow me on social media, you might have seen me mention last week that I was going to film a new video for the blog today. Well, in typical me fashion, I couldn’t get the microphone to work on my laptop, so…we’ll have to settle for some good old photos for our dose of Valentine’s Day lip balm fun this year!
During my last Target trip last month, I had some gift cards that were burning a hole in my pocket — they were just itching to be used, so who was I to say no? Of course, I made a beeline for the makeup section, where I found Nivea’s Milk & Honey. OMG, the scent took me right to a sunny spring day! It smells like fresh flowers blowing in the cool breeze! Truly intoxicating! I’ve always been super impressed with Nivea, especially with how smooth they feel on the lips — seriously, if you haven’t discovered its magic, get thee to a drugstore STAT. At CVS, I picked up another Nivea lip balm (this time, A Kiss of Cherry), which you know I couldn’t pass up because — HELLO!!! — who doesn’t want to sport a red lip? Plus, the color matches my wheelchair perfectly and you all know how much I love to color-coordinate things! Oh, and Chapstick’s Vanilla Cream? It’s like having a cupcake. On. Your. Lips. Enough said, right?
Then, a couple week’s ago, I found myself at Walgreens (again…is this really even a surprise anymore?) when I about squealed like a teenage girl. Right there in the middle of the aisle for the entire store to hear. But, really, I couldn’t help myself because, well, there they were…
The Valentine’s Day Lip Smacker tins!
Where had these beautiful, heavenly lip balms come from? Had they been dropped down by Cupid himself? Did he deliver them just for me? Well, needless to say, I was IN LOVE and said love only deepened when I got home and tried the flavors. From Cotton Candy Kisses to Chocolate Love Letters, it’s one delicious ride, let me tell you — a ride that I, frankly, never want to get off of! The same goes for Revlon’s Kiss Balm that I picked up! My flavor of choice? Crisp apple, of course, because it’s a pretty red and reminds me of sweet fall days. Can’t get much better than that, can you?
What lip balms have you been enjoying lately, friends? Any wild and crazy flavors? Or do you prefer the classic ones? You know I’m ALWAYS on the hunt for new ones, so let me know your favorite picks in the comments! xoxo

Thanks for the entertaining piece on lip balms!!!! Made me smack my lips with enjoyment!!!!! 😉 Your Lip Smacker Valentine tins was so, so, timely!!! I am VERY boring when it comes to lip balms. I have a Beeswax Lip Balm (Peppermint & Vitamin E), that is rather tasty, also EOS tangerine flavor. Nothing as colorful and tasty as yours!!!! Sincere congratulations on your N.Y.T., upcoming piece!!!! 😉 Take care of you…;-)

Oooo I love lip balms! I can’t blame you for continuing to add to your collection. You should really try out the balms from Perfectly Posh (they are available online). I love them the most because of the sugar beads in each one. It’s like a massage for my lips!
