Etsy Love: Gold Garnet Half Eternity Ring

Eternity Ring Eternity RingI’ve marveled at plenty a pretty bauble over the years. So many beauties on Etsy that my eyes sometimes start spinning from all the glitz, glamour and glory! And of all the baubles I’ve blogged about, I’m still in mourning that this little number is no longer available; why, oh, why did I snatch it up when I had the chance?? But! All hope is not lost, thankfully! Just feast your eyes on this FANTASTIC gold garnet half eternity ring from ARDONN…

The garnet color reminds me of my red hair, so how cool would it be to color-coordinate the two?!? All I’d need to complete the look would be a red shirt and a red bracelet — perhaps of the carnelian kind??

Eternity RingAre you a fan of this ring style, friends? I didn’t think I’d like an eternity ring, but there’s just something so pretty about it, don’t you think?? xoxo

⭐️Etsy Love: Star Rings Are Out of This World⭐️

Star RingsHave I ever told you about my love of space? It’s a fascination and slight obsession, really. The galaxy. The sun. The moon. The planets. And…the stars!! And speaking of stars, I’m loving these star rings on Etsy lately!!

Maybe I like the fact that the universe reminds me of my father, who used to sit outside with me on a clear summer night and tell stories about the stars. Or maybe I just like the idea of having such a complicated, intangible idea like space in a tangible form around my finger — you know, something that helps me feel a little more connected to the grand cosmos out there.

Either way, there’s something really pretty and understated about gold star rings, like this Zodiac band ($19.93) — it’s demure, but still bold enough to make a statement, don’t you think? Like those stars in the night sky, these rings pop without being overpowering; you notice them, but they’re still sort of subtle and quiet. That’s enough personification, huh?

Anyway, in case you need more convincing, here are three more opulent options…

Star RingsStellar stacker, $25

Star RingsDainty starburst, $21.31

Star RingsCelestial signet, $22.52

Which are you favorite of the star rings style, friends? Do you love all things space or are you more of an Earth-dweller? Also, if you have any other recent Etsy faves, I’d love to see them!! xoxo

🎃Etsy Love: Spooky Halloween Enamel Pins So You Can Still “Dress Up”👻

HalloweenAre you one of those people who dons a Halloween costume past, say, age 14…?? No judgment here, but I’ve just never been one of those people. In fact, I don’t even remember the last time I dressed up. Middle school, maybe? But with tomorrow being Halloween and all, I just thought of a cool way to still “dress up” as it were: These spooky enamel pins on Etsy, of course!

Honestly, I don’t know why I never thought of this before — and I certainly wish I would have thought of it sooner so I could have ordered one of these beauties! These pins are really the best of both worlds. You can add a little Halloween flair without getting all decked out in a costume and makeup and props. You can be festive and fun!

In addition to this cute ghost pin ($5.28), above, here are four other pins that will help Halloween-ify any outfit this year and all year long…

HalloweenGlitter pumpkin, $7

HalloweenGoth ghost, $11.99

HalloweenBlack cat enamel pin (just like precious Whitney!), $9

HalloweenFashionable witch’s hat, $10.61

Which Halloween pin is your favorite, friends? Are you dressing up this year? I’d love to see photos of your costume!! xoxo

P.S. Remember last year’s Style Guide?

Etsy Love: Groovy Geometric Gold Rings

Geometric Gold RingsFour words: Groovy geometric gold rings!

How’s that for some alliteration, friends?!?!? The moment I saw these gold baubles from Olive Gems, I thought, “wouldn’t it be cool to wear that little star ring on my finger?” It’s subtle with just the right amount of flash and sass — just like me, perhaps?

Geometric Gold Rings Geometric Gold RingsPlus, gold jewelry just reminds me of fall for some reason, and as we all know, the seasons are a-changing whether we like it or not. I’ve got some fall fashion posts planned for the middle of October, and this ring is the perfect little intro to all things autumnal elegance!

Which geometric gold rings are your favorites? The heart? The star? Something else? I’d love to hear… xoxo

Etsy Love: These Keychains Are Pretty By Themselves

Keychains KeychainsI’m the type of lady who does things out of order sometimes. I once bought a huge jewelry box on Etsy even though I didn’t even own that much jewelry to actually put in it. So when I spotted these keychains from Alexandra of GypsoulCo, I thought, “Uh-oh! Not another temptation!”

I know what you’re probably thinking right now: “Melissa doesn’t have any keys, does she?” Well, you’d be correct on that front. I don’t have any keys that necessitate the use of a keychain and still…I want all these pretty and colorful baubles! They’re the perfect blend of simple with the color and a pop with the soft colors, don’t you think?

Keychains KeychainsPlus, I love how the cactus one reminds me of my Arizona adventures in 2007. You know I’m a sucker for baubles with meaning!! So maybe I could even use these as good luck charms — you know, like something to bring me good luck in my writing endeavors! Check out these beauties for some cheer and inspiration…

Which is your favorite one, friends? Are you a big fan of keychains or do you prefer to keep your keys plain and simple — in other words, just throwing them in your bag?!?!? xoxo
