Obama Inauguration

It seems like it was just four years ago when President Obama took his first oath of office. Did you watch the Presidential Inauguration festivities yesterday, friends? It was quite inspiring, to say the least…

And his second inauguration address was pretty fantastic, too. The full transcript of the speech and more Inauguration photos.

P.S. Obama as Man Candy, singing Al Green, his sweet moment with Michelle and winning his second term.

Man Candy Monday.

Good Monday morning, friends! Well, it’s been nearly a week since the big election, and I must confess: I still have a bit of presidential fever. Is there even a cure for such a thing? I’m pretty sure there’s not, so today, I give you one of my all-time favorite Commanders-In-Chief (next to this guy, of course…). He represented a new generation of change-makers. He embodied everything that was beautiful about Camelot. And he was gone far, far too soon…

JOHN F. KENNEDY!!!!!!!!!!

“And so, my fellow Americans: Ask not what your country
can do for you…ask what you can do for your country.”

FOUR MORE YEARS…

So, did you watch the election coverage last night, friends? I started watching the nail-biting results at 7pm, and then, even after I went to bed, I’d check my phone during the night.
Obama’s victory tweet, a photo of the first couple, received some 500,000 re-tweets, making it the most pass-around post of all time. Needless to say, it was a pretty exciting night. Were you surprised by the results?

P.S. Obama’s full acceptance speech and more photos here.

Vote today!

Happy Election Day, friends! Have you voted yet? Regardless of who you vote for, what’s so important is that you exercise your civic duty today. This year, I took advantage of early voting and cast my ballot a few weeks ago.

I’ll be glued to the TV tonight as the results start to come in. For all things Election 2012, here are six great resources that will keep you up-to-date…
*Real Clear Politics aggregates stats and polls from around the country.
*USA Today‘s coverage includes everything from in-depth candidate bios to a state-by-state guide.
*The Election 2012 iPhone App delivers the latest news The New York Times and other sources.
*The New York Times’ FiveThirtyEight blog is a hub of political analysis and a statistic lover’s paradise.
*CNN’s Election Day In Photos documents America’s journey to the polls.
*Twitter follows the real-time pulse of election fever with indexes and hot topics.

Now get out there and vote, friends! xoxo
