Found: The Perfect Watercolor Cookies

Jacquelyn Clark from Lark & Linen has hit the pretty/delicious sweet spot with her watercolor cookies, don’t you think, friends? She hand decorated each one, and her boyfriend even joined in on the fun! Jacquelyn suggests making a few “test cookies” to start — I’m sold! xoxo

P.S. Watercolor prints and watercolor nails.

Spring Inspiration on Pinterest

I’ve got a confession to make: Spring seduced me this year in a major way. The sights, the smells, the pastel colors — they all gave summer a run for its money as my favorite season. So how did I deal with these new and unexpected feelings? Expressed them on Pinterest, of course! I’ve been pinning all things spring like it’s going out of style. Here are a few of my favorites from the bunch, starting with this bike basket full of flowers, via Design Love Fest…

Denim on denim, via Jennifer Causey.

Coconut and blood orange popsicles, via Fork Knife Swoon.

Outdoor picnic, via The Glitter Guide.

Fresh flower crown, via Trend Hunter.

Vine-covered house.

Daisy nails, via WiseShe.

What are you pinning lately, friends? Want more spring inspiration? Be sure to follow my Spring Inspiration board on Pinterest for lots more fun! xoxo

P.S. Friday links are coming up shortly! 🙂

Upper Metal Class: I Am Now collection

When T. Ngu from Upper Metal Class described her new collection, I couldn’t help but think, “Hey! She’s practically describing my Life Mantra!” It’s true, the Portland-based shop’s new line I Am Now is all about being open and present in the moment.

“Each piece is designed with no closed ends and are left open to represent the openness to embrace life as it is, to be love and to be here now. It’s seeing and not giving into thoughts sweeping you away from enjoying what you have in this very moment,” says T.

The photos above are from the lookbook, and there’s such a tranquil vibe about them. Aren’t they gorgeous? A few of my favorites from the I Am Now collection…

Presence necklace, $75

Truth cuff bracelet, $85

Presence cuff ring, $52

Don’t you love the collection, friends? You can check out the full collection here and shop for more Upper Metal Class jewelry here.

(This post is sponsored by Upper Metal Class, one of So About What I Said’s long-term sponsors. As always, all opinions expressed are my own. Thanks so much for continuing to support So About What I Said’s wonderful sponsors!)

Watercolor nails for spring

How pretty are these watercolor nails for spring? It’s a pretty simple look to achieve: After applying the base coat, you just use a sponge to dab the colorful polishes on your nails. The little bling adds an extra pop, don’t you think? xoxo

P.S. Holiday nails, emerald nails and creamsicle nails.

Grandma’s Garden Flower Earrings Giveaway!

Today’s giveaway is from Svetlana from Grandma’s Garden! The Russia-based jewelry shop features gorgeous necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, brooches and hair accessories all inspired by one of spring’s most glorious staples: Flowers! “I’m really in love with unusual things — things which make an impression and break stereotypes,” says Svetlana.

She’s giving these gorgeous flower earrings to one lucky reader. The vintage-inspired jewelry evokes feelings of light, romantic nostalgia, Svetlana says, and makes us think of our grandmothers. “I think our grandmas or great-grandmothers were able to have accessories like this vintage-styled jewelry. The romantic, naive and playful jewelry design sends us in past times when our grandmothers were the young ladies,” she says. The earrings are also made with real flowers and would go perfectly with a spring outfit, don’t you think?

For your chance to win, simply visit Grandma’s Garden, and leave a comment below, telling us what you’d pair your earrings with if you won. For additional entries, you can (please leave a separate comment for each entry)…
