Landscapes from above
Happy Earth Day, friends! In honor of this most glorious day, how awesome are these photos by photographer Alex MacLean? He captures beautiful landscapes — pools, farms, highways — from thousands of feet above the ground. “I generally like photographing places I have never seen before and trying to understand both the settlement and its natural forms and how they relate to each other,” he said.
It makes everything look almost majestic, doesn’t it? Are you doing anything to celebrate Earth Day? Have fun and enjoy the weather! xoxo
P.S. Earth Day 2013, snow day adventure, One Day on Earth and nature photos.

Family Photos: Easter weekend…
Confession: I’m not quite sure where the last four days have gone. It’s been a blur of relaxation, a leisurely lunch at Applebee’s and a bit of Target shopping thrown in for good measure. Good thing I snapped a few photos to capture the moments, starting with my musings in Barnes & Noble, above. I saw that bag at the checkout, and couldn’t help but wonder: Is that me? Isn’t that all of us sometimes?
The hair — the before-and-after shots really demonstrate my desperation, don’t you think?
Of course I wore my best polo shirt for Easter day!
And according to my mother, you’re never too old for a little visit from the Easter Bunny. Who was I to argue with her? She’s pretty convincing.
How was YOUR weekend, friends? Got any Easter loot to share? xoxo
My Top 8 Spring Must-Haves
Speaking of spring, I was so inspired by our Spring Must-Have series a few weeks ago that I thought it would be fun to share a few of my personal picks this afternoon. There’s something so magical about spring, isn’t there? So much promise in the warm and sunny months to come! Here are eight spring-y items on my must-have list…
*Straw hat, $16.95
*Essie’s Mint Candy Apple, $8.50
*Anchor ring for beach daydreams, $30
*A polo shirt ($19.99) and a pastel dress ($33.87)
*Easter candy so you can feel like a kid again — I’ve been devouring Whoppers Robin Eggs like it’s my job lately
*Maybelline’s Baby Lips for a pop of color, $2.69
*Flowers to brighten up those rainy spring days, $38.66
What do you think, friends? Anything you’d add to my list? What do you love about this time of year? xoxo
