Confession: I’ve never understood the popularity of brunch. It always seemed like it was one of those meals that was trying too hard to look all cool and hip. Maybe that’s why these made-up charts about brunch by San Francisco artist Michelle Rial made me chuckle today! And who could forget Portlandia’s take on brunch? So. Perfect. Are you a brunch person, friends? Do you have a favorite dish? xoxo

Tell me about your Etsy shop. What’s the inspiration behind its launch?
Grace365 offers uplifting Christian prints with encouraging messages. I was blessed with a passion for design and the talent to back it up. Grace365 is a way to meld together two of my greatest passions: my faith and design.
Your shop features so many inspiring finds. What inspires you the most?
My faith. Christian music. Scripture. Typography.
What are your top tips for shopping online and finding great deals?
1. Know what you are looking for. If it doesn’t exist, see if someone (or YOU) can make it.
2. If I am shopping at a bigger store/chain, I always do a quick Google search to see if I can find any coupon codes. There is likely one out there, even if it is just for a few dollars off.
What are some little decorating tips that people can use to incorporate more art into their home decor?
In several areas of my home, instead of hanging one photo or piece of art, I’ve created gallery walls or even just small clusters. I like to mix and match personal photos with quirky or inspiring artwork, mirrors and pretty much anything that can hang! Little decor clusters work on tables and shelves as well. A unique vase, a quirky knickknack and a frame with an encouraging word — the key is mixing items that vary in size.
What is your favorite piece in your shop and why?
The Dance a Little, Laugh a Little, Hope a Little More print was inspired by For King & Country’s song “Without You.” There was very personal meaning behind the lyrics for the band, but even without knowing the background, I think the lyrics can speak to anyone. It’s a great reminder to always dig a little deeper in your relationships. Take the time to enjoy the simple things with the people who matter most. Don’t get too caught up in work and the things that need to be done, but rather, focus on the things that truly matter in life.
To kick off the weekend on a cool and relaxed note, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite summer-themed Etsy prints. I can just picture (no pun intended…) hanging one of these over your bed and looking at it every morning during those cold winter months. An instant way to warm up, don’t you think? Here are six of my favorites…
1. Pineapple print from MelindaWoodDesigns.
2. Life Is Better In Flip Flops print from SamsSimpleDecor.
3. Indian Summer print from automatte.
4. Deep Summer print from RicheArt.
5. I Dream of the Sea print from JillianAudreyDesigns.
6. Peach print from ellolovey.
Do you have a favorite print, friends? I don’t know about you, but I’m craving a juicy peach right now… xoxo
P.S. Friday links are coming up soon! 🙂
