Menswear Dog

Menswear Dog is quite possibly the best Tumblr I’ve come across yet. It stars Bodhi, the fashion-conscious Shiba Inu here to teach you how to dress like a man. His tagline? “A dog’s guide to being a man.”

Bonus: Bodhi’s tips are coming to a bookstore near you in April with the release of Menswear Dog Presents: The New Classics. No doubt it will feature the most stylish dog in the world modeling everything from jackets to sweaters to ties! He certainly knows how to work the camera, doesn’t he, friends? xoxo

Tiffany’s new engagement ad

A few years ago, Target made history when it featured a same-sex couple in an ad campaign. Well, Tiffany & Co just released their new engagement ring ad campaign, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Isn’t it stunning? Way to go!! xoxo

P.S. Click on the ad to make it bigger! 🙂

Man Candy Monday: The Hot Holiday Edition!

Good morning, friends, and happy Christmas week! Can you believe there are only three days until Christmas? The countdown has officially begun. This week is all about the holidays, naturally, starting with Man Candy. No, it’s not Santa, though I can definitely see the allure. Today’s group of guys would make you do a double take. They teach us not to judge a book by its cover. And only they could turn an ugly holiday sweater into one sexy fashion statement…

Sponsor Spotlight: The Cuft Lynx

You all know I love any and all things wedding — that first walk down the aisle, that first kiss between newlyweds, that first romantic dance between the happy couple. Maybe that’s why I was so excited when I discovered The Cuft Lynx, the Florida-based Etsy shop of custom wedding and designer cuff links and tie clips. It’s a cuff link lovers paradise — everything from classic cuff links to monograms (like these) to novelty to nautical (like these) styles. Read on for a behind-the-scenes peek, owner Doug’s favorite winter fashion trends and a special discount code for readers! xoxo

Tell me about your shop. What’s the inspiration behind its launch?
In 2008, I sold my storefront jewelry business to my partner, left South Carolina and came back to St Petersburg, Florida. The economy was still bad, and I did not want to take the chance of opening a storefront. So I decided I would focus my energies on creating an online business. Something fashionable and unique for men. The Cuft Lynx was born. I started with just cuff links, then added money clips and tie clips. Today I mostly offer cuff links and tie clips, but have plans to add more unique items in 2015.

Your shop features so many inspiring finds. What inspires you the most?
Custom, personalized and wedding items. I love creating meaningful pieces that often become heirlooms. People bring me custom artwork, monograms from their wedding invitations, Family Crests, business logos, symbols and more. My challenge is to make them work on a small canvas and be noticed. I love the creative process that ends with a unique wearable product that is cherished by the recipient.

What are your top 3 tips for shopping online and finding great deals?
1. Always inquire if there are any special offers regardless of the time of year.
2. Wait until the end of a season to get maximum discounts.
3. Use online apps to compare deals to save you time and money.

What are some of your favorite fashion trends for the winter?
I like corduroy suits, parkas, pinstripe gangster-style suits and the monochromatic look.

What is your favorite piece in your shop and why?
Irish Claddagh cuff links for what they symbolize — “with my two hands I give you my heart and I crown it with my love.”

**Special Discount: The Cuft Lynx is offering 10% off until the end of the year. Just enter TENOFFIN2014 at checkout.

Fashion Friday: Rolling Stones style

Let’s take a little trip back in time on this first Friday of 2013, shall we, friends? Start Me Up by the Rolling Stones has always been one of my all-time favorite songs. The British lads recently celebrated 50 years of rocking and rolling, so I immediately smiled when I came across this New York Times slide show of some of their most stylish looks…
…and they just keep on rocking, don’t they? Are you a fan of Mick and co., friends? Have a favorite song or a favorite style moment? xoxo
