I don’t know what it is, but I’m starting to really love emeralds. It’s not even my birthstone, but it’s such a beautiful color. A deep green that just feels so calming, you know? Plus, emerald stones are called the stones of love, and you all know I’m all about love! They also promote hope and compassion, which we could all use a little more of — both for ourselves and others.

Happy April, friends!! How have you been? I’m so excited to be back on the blog after my spring break, but am wondering, as usual: Where did that week go?? Well, mark this one down in the history books, friends! I’m obsessed with a trend that I’m just now discovering: Initial rings. I’m embarrassingly late to the party, I know, but at least my new obsession will make me look fashionable coming to said party, right??

Anyway, those in fashion’s inner circle fell in love with the monogram jewelry trend quite awhile ago. Big in 2016, Harper’s Bazaar has declared the trend’s popularity is only increasing and is full of modern touches and styles. And according to ELLE, the storied history of the jewelry is ever-evolving…

Take a gander at this pretty bauble for a second. What color would you call it? Etsy shop xuanqirabbit describes the piece as a bohemian rainbow ring and I’d say that’s a pretty accurate description, wouldn’t you?

I mean, it would certainly be a show-stopping accessory! The colors sort of remind me of peacock feathers, and, well, I’ve always thought peacocks were magical animals — maybe even as high on the Magical and Whimsy scale as unicorns.
