This Turquoise Ring Captures the Perfect Summer Vibes

Turquoise RingCool. Laid-back. Chill. Nothing screams summer more than those three words, right? I mean, I practically want to lounge in a hammock after just reading those adjectives. Well, throw in this dreamy bauble in the form of a turquoise ring and I’m already snoozing for HOURS on said hammock!! #NapTime

But, seriously, how cool is this ring?? The greenish/blue color sort of reminds me of the ocean, and the gold band reminds me of a golden summer sunset — you know, just as the sun is sinking in the sky and everything takes on a soft golden glow? Is there anything more calming than that?? I don’t think so!

Turquoise RingWould you wear this beauty, friends? After all, it might just be the perfect accessory to complete that boho chic look… xoxo

5 Ways to Make a Pride Month Fashion Statement🌈

Pride Month FashionHappy Pride Month, friends!! June has always been my favorite month, and not just because we celebrate the official beginning of summer. I love it because we also celebrate the LGBTQ community and continue spreading #LoveIsLove to the entire world! But what I’m really loving this year? The fact that you can make a Pride Month fashion statement AND make a difference at the same time!

There are a host of awesome fashion finds that will directly support organizations working to end discrimination and inequality. What’s more stylish than supporting LGBTQ rights? Here are 5 pretty pieces that give back in a big way, starting with this women’s J.Crew X Human Rights Campaign “Love first” T-shirt ($34.50), with 50 percent of the purchase price going to the Human Rights Campaign…

Pride Month FashionMadewell x Human Rights Campaign Love To All canvas tote bag ($10), with 50 percent of the purchase price going to the Human Rights Campaign

Pride Month FashionThe Future Is Equal tee ($19.95), with 100 percent of sales benefiting the It Gets Better Project

Pride Month FashionMade For Love canvas tote ($12), with 100 percent of proceeds going to The Trevor Project

Pride Month FashionLove Is Love t-shirt ($34.50), with $5 from each sale going to Free & Equal, a U.N. Human Rights Office campaign

Pride Month FashionFeeling inspired and fashionable yet, friends?? I hope you’ll take some time before the month ends to be an ally to the LGBTQ community. As an ally, I see you. I support you. I love you. I’m here for you. Happy Pride!

👰🏻Style Guide: Royal Wedding Razzle Dazzle💍

Royal WeddingSay it with me now: THE ROYAL WEDDING!!!!!! Yes, friends, the royal wedding is TOMORROW!!!! Can you tell that I’m beyond excited?!?!? And not just because I finally get to use “razzle dazzle” in a blog post title!

Truly, I’m legit obsessed — just ask my mom and Janelle. I’ve been talking about Harry and Meghan for months, just like I did with William and Kate (doesn’t it seem like those two crazy kids just got married yesterday??), and you can bet that I shout with joy at each new headline I read about the lovely couple.

Wait, what’s that? You’re NOT the least bit ecstatic about the upcoming nuptials?? Are you kidding me? Well, perhaps this Style Guide will change your mind. Now, I’m the farthest thing from royal-like (heck, I’m not even royal-adjacent), but I’m pretty sure the fashions for the big day with consist of lots of classy pieces — maybe throw in a pearl necklace and a fascinator or two and we’ve got the perfect outfit! Here are 9 style picks to help us celebrate in, well, style…

Royal WeddingYellow fascinator, $44.99 | Pink wide-brimmed hat, $25.99 | Gold ankle strap heels, $26 | Gold initial bracelet, $48 | Tassel clutch, $19 | Freshwater pearl hoop earrings, $43.20 | Lace gloves, $8.89 | French floral dress, $59.50 | Rose gold fingerprint heart necklace, $47.99

This, my dears, is a love story for the ages. A love story, in fact, that I’ll be writing an entire blog post about soon — FYI, as an example of my royal obsession, I’ve had a draft saved since Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. Because, all the fluffy, fun fashion aside, the union of Harry and Meghan is monumental and…well, I’ll just save it for that future blog post.

Aren’t you pumped now, friends?? Seriously, this is going to be so great!!! Will you be watching all the lovey-dovey festivities tomorrow?? I’m going to get my DVR set pronto!!! Cheers… xoxo

Fashion Do or Don’t: Zodiac Tees

Zodiac Tees Zodiac TeesAwhile back, I posted about that classic ’70s vibe in fashion, which is something I’ve come to love and appreciate. Remember how cool and relaxed the look was? So when I saw these zodiac tees over the weekend, I couldn’t help but think: My Leo heart would LOVE THAT for summer!!!

They remind me of a warm, chilled-out summer day where you laze in the grass on a sunny afternoon. You know, sort of like this classic oldie…

What’s the verdict, friends? Is this a fashion do or don’t for you? Do you have a favorite decade when it comes to your style? I’m also pretty partial to the ’50s look… xoxo

This Untitled Tee Fits My Life Perfectly

Untitled TeeUntitled tee. Fits. How’s that for some puns and word play on this Tuesday, friends??

But seriously, though, when I spotted this shirt over the weekend, I couldn’t help but think: WOW, do I identify with it!! And not just because I’m obsessed with bright yellow as we move into spring. It’s that one word that gets me.

Untitled.

How much of our lives really are untitled? My story isn’t complete yet. Your story isn’t complete yet. So how can we possibly title the story of our lives just yet? After all, it’s sort of like choosing a title for an action movie before you even get to the chase scene, you know?

I try to keep this idea in mind, especially when I get down on myself or things don’t seem to be going my way. Yes, life throws us some curve balls and there are bad times. But there is so much more beauty to see, so many more good times to come. I know that sounds a bit trite, but it’s true.

Plus, our lives are a work in progress. Well, mine is at least. And, honestly, I don’t think that progress will ever stop. I don’t think there’s a magic age we get to where we can definitively say, “OK, yes, I finally have everything all figured out!” I wish life worked like that (I mean, wouldn’t that be GREAT!), but, sadly, it doesn’t. I’m forever growing and learning — both about myself and about the world.

Besides, I like the idea of being “untitled” if for the simple reason that it gives me room, you know? I’m not boxed in by anything and certainly not defined by anything. In a sense, I can spread my wings as wide — or as short! — as I want. There’s a freedom in that sentiment that I love!

What in your life is untitled these days, friends?? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments! I’m so excited to see how our stories unfold, aren’t you?!?!? xoxo

P.S. New fun Family Photos are coming up tomorrow!!! #ThinkSpring
