Family Photos: Haircut, Target Shopping and Spring Galore!!

Target Shopping Target ShoppingIf you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you’ve likely already seen a few photos from my Target shopping extravaganza last week!! I say extravaganza because this spectacularly splendid day of fun was long overdue!!

And speaking of things being overdue, that’s exactly what my hair had become, which is why getting a haircut was my first stop of the day!! I hadn’t gotten it cut since October (WOW!!) and we all know how quickly my hair grows. See this post for a before photo. The after photo, above, is pretty close to my classic look and I’m digging it. My mom tried to talk me into “getting a new style,” but you know me — once my mind is made up, I’m as sturdy and stubborn as an old oak tree!! I mean, this look has suited me just fine since the classic ’80s so there must be a reason it’s classic, right? So, it stays! Forever!

After the weight of all that hair had been lifted from my shoulders (literally!), I rolled on over to Target for some much-needed retail therapy. I hadn’t set my wheelchair wheels in that hallowed store since December, so I was practically experiencing withdrawals at this point.

Disclaimer: I’ve never really been a big fan of the $1 section, BUT…?? I think I’m officially a convert now!! The $1 section was tempting me with all things spring and, well, I could barely contain myself! I was throwing stuff in my basket like I was a contestant on Supermarket Sweep!!!

Target ShoppingOne of my favorite $1 section finds?? These cute pink bunny ears! I’ve been wearing them around the house ever since and they just make me smile!! I’m thinking I’ll just wear them year-round for the indefinite future! Thoughts? Thanks for being on point, $1 section!!

Target Shopping Target Shopping Target ShoppingAnd, ooooooh, that Easter section practically made me weak in the knees! I about died from all that pastel goodness and — surprise!!! — ChapStick came out with their spring collection!!! Because…you can never have too much lip balm, can you??

Target Shopping Target ShoppingI met BOTH of my writing deadlines this week, so naturally I took myself out to lunch at Applebee’s!! Have you tried their quesadilla burger? It is sweet perfection! #NotSponsored #OpenToSponsoredTho #CallMeAppleebees

Target ShoppingThe lesson from this trip: All it took was one shopping trip and I’m giddy for spring!! And, yes, I bought that stuffed bunny for myself. Her name is Babs. I think she and I are going to be great friends!!!

Are you psyched for springtime, friends?? It’s quickly becoming my second favorite season behind summer. What have you splurged on at Target lately? What’s your favorite section to browse?? xoxo

Melissa…You are beautiful with or without the bunny ears. Your spirit shines through beautifully. Love the light green bunny. Have you seen the very large not hollow chocolate bunnies in the supermarket? Krogers has them and they are great.

That quesadilla burger looks yummy. I’ll have to order one next time I go to Applebee’s. Those bunny ears are cute.
