Sick Days and Wheelchair Rentals

Well, what can I say, friends? It’s been one heck of a week around here! You can probably guess why, seeing as how this post is titled ‘Sick Days and Wheelchair Rentals,’ but it’s most definitely been trying, to say the least! I’ve been battling some sort of mini flu/just generally not feeling well for the last few days, so I’ve been hunkering down at home. Seriously, I alternated between my bed, episodes of The Golden Girls and managing to make it to my desk to get a couple posts done. It was quite the time, let me tell you!

And! Then today, I was finally starting to feel a bit better and my mom had the day off. The weather is unseasonably warm (almost 60 degrees and sunny!!), so we got the bright idea to walk up to the gas station for a soda pop. We got halfway through the soccer field across from our house…and the wheelchair just STOPS. Really? As Miranda Sings would say, are you kidding me? Luckily, my mom and sister were able to push me to the safety of our car and I was able to get a rental wheelchair for now. Thankfully, I started the process to order a new wheelchair a couple months ago, so hopefully, a brand-spanking new one will be rolling into my life VERY soon.

So, all this to say that I’m taking Monday off and will be back on Tuesday! I missed you all this week and have a few exciting new published pieces to share with you next week. Until then, I hope you’re all doing well and have a wonderful weekend! Love you all… xoxo
