Do you have a favorite romantic film these days?
My heart is a sucker for the genre, obviously, whether it’s a comedy or a drama; I think part of the appeal is that it’s so easy to get swept up and lost in the emotions of the movie’s story and characters. True, the movies don’t always reflect real life — or even people, for that matter — but they never fail to tug at our heart strings nonetheless.
Writer Lauren Le Vine rounded up her 50 favorites, and the list is quite impressive and expansive. Love. Deceit. Hurt. Heartbreak. Cheating. Unexpected love. Loss. It’s ALL there.
My Top 10 Favorite Romantic Movies:
*The Notebook
*Romeo and Juliet (Leo/Claire version)
*Titanic
*Love Story
*The Graduate
*Up
*Say Anything
*Gone With The Wind
*Pretty Woman
*Brokeback Mountain
It’s your turn, friends: What’s your favorite romantic movie? Why do you love it so much? Seen it lots of times? What lessons has it taught you about love and life? I’d love to see your picks! xoxo
P.S. If my life were a romantic comedy… 🙂
