Oh, life before Google was rough, wasn’t it? For the New York Public Library, the proof is in the pudding — or, rather, a box of old note cards. The cards contain old reference questions from the 1940s to 1980s, long before patrons could quickly find the answers to their elusive questions with a few keystrokes on Google!
The NYPL has taken to sharing them on their Instagram, and it’s fun to see all the different types of questions people would ask. It also makes you wonder where we’ll be in another 30 years, doesn’t it, friends? xoxo
