Today, I’ve got a fun interview from Sanja. She takes us behind the scenes of Craft’s Garden of Zen, her incredible jewelry boutique filled with necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and hair pins. All the inspiration for her work comes from the energy in crystals and in the Earth. “Sometimes I feel like Cinderella in her Crystal Castle, using every little treasury I find to make wearable beauty,” she says. “I try to save the beauty in raw Earth gifts to us, and I’m stunned with idea that women and men around the world are wearing these little dazzling gems. My goal is to make you feel special and at peace.” Ahhh, so refreshing, isn’t it? Read on for more fashion tips and Sanja’s favorite pieces in her shop! xoxo

Tell me about your shop. What’s the inspiration behind its launch?
My love for crystals. Before my jewelry making, I used to carry my crystals in pockets. I was thinking of how I could wear them in a way that they deserve.
Your shop features so many inspiring finds. What inspires you the most?
Nature. My jewelry is free, natural, bohemian made with raw crystals. I’m drawn to this Earth treasuries. Isn’t it incredible to wear a piece of jewelry with a gemstone that grows in Mother Earth? That is why every piece I make, I treat with respect and admiration.
What can we learn from studying the healing powers of energy and chakra?
You know, they say that crystals are alive, perfect beings. Nearly all aboriginal tribes in the world not only believe crystals are alive, they believe the Mother Earth is a sentient being and goddess from whom we all emerged and from where we gain all sustenance for life. Crystals are alive and intelligent, having the intelligence of nature within every cell of their beings. They affect us with their subtle vibrations that resonate with human chakras. If you search for the crystal, you should let yourself be drawn to them. They pick you…not other way around.
What are some of your favorite winter fashion/jewelry trends?
Lately — simple, geometric jewelry is very trendy, but also big statement, unusual necklaces. Love that diversity!
What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
I guess my gemstone studs. They are small, colorful and easy to combine with everything.
