Do you eat lunch at your desk?

I’ve somehow gotten myself into a bad habit over the last several months. It’s like I get into some sort of zone and before I know it, it’s 3pm and I still haven’t eaten lunch. So, just to “hurry up and get back to my work,” I’ll typically just eat at the kitchen table, which would be a perfectly fine and logical place to eat — if only said table didn’t double as my office desk. That’s proof of my lunch, above, and my lunches always include something from each major category: Sandwich, fruit/veggie, chips and dessert.

But it looks like I’m not alone! The Tumblr Sad Desk Lunches features people’s desk lunches in all their sad, ho-hum glory. It makes you want to jump up and run outside, doesn’t it?

Needless to say, I’m on the hunt for some different lunchtime locales. Any suggestions, friends? Where do you eat lunch? Do you take long, leisurely lunches or short and sweet ones? Do you ever find yourself in a lunch rut? How do you get out of it? xoxo

You are definitely not alone! I am so guilty of this it's not even funny. I get so deep in my work/day that I find it next to impossible to pry myself away from my desk. *Sigh.

I always eat lunch at my desk – AND it's always a super sad one (but really healthy). Womp womp, at least I don't feel like taking a gigantic nap afterward

I always eat lunch at my desk – it's a good time for me to catch-up on the news or my blogs etc. I walk to and from work most days, so don't feel too guilty. But, it does make the day a bit long!!

Yes. I just bring my own lunch box just like a kid. It saves me time walking around looking for some place to eat and I can relax for a while. Thank you so much for sharing!
