There are a number of apple orchards in Illinois.
I have been to one that is in Lake County.
The apple cider donuts from the Long Grove Apple house are pretty good but actually so are the ones from Mariano's.
But I am sure that any apple orchard will have good ones. It is funny because I like cider donuts and apple cider and raw apples but anything with a baked apple in it I will not cross that line so no apple pie, tarts etc.

Ooh, those look delicious! Donuts aren't as big here and it's really hard to buy a decent one actually. But these have my mouth watering.
