Growing up, one of my absolute favorite things was getting home after school and watching reruns of The Brady Bunch on TBS. Those Brady kids were always getting into some sort of trouble (“Oh, my nose!” anyone?), and, of course, they needed someone to set them straight.
Enter Alice, their smiley, all-knowing housekeeper who seemed to have an endless supply of blue uniforms and an ever more endless supply of energy — seriously, did that woman ever stop working? I was so saddened to hear of the death of Ann B. Davis, the actress who brought Alice to life from 1969 to 1974. And boy, what a character she was! Here, Alice’s wise words on the uselessness of diets…
“Whenever I feel like cheating on my diet, I weigh myself and then I cheat anyway.”
Amen! Don’t we all need an Alice in our lives? Did you watch The Brady Bunch as a kid? Who was your favorite Brady? xoxo
P.S. Did anyone else wonder why she and Sam never got married? And, where exactly was her bedroom? All the way in the back of the house? LOL…

I love that quote. She's now my favorite Brady. What a strong woman she was.
