More than 65,000 people lined Park Street in Bristol, England, on May 4th to catch a glimpse of an amazing one-day only event: A 300-foot water slide enabling residents to explore their city in a unique way. The installation was created by artist Luke Jerram in response to what he dubs the “urban landscape.”
“This massive urban slide transforms the street and asked people to take a fresh look at the potential of their city and the possibilities for transformation. Imagine if there were permanent slides right across cities?” he said.
And, with an incline of 6.5 degrees, participants whizzed along at around 11mph. How fun would that have been?!?!? Are you a big fan of water slides, friends? xoxo

Oh this looks so much fun! I did not know about this, and I'm originally not far from Bristol and still have many friends there. Next time a giant water slide comes to town, I'm there!

I just found your blog from The Short and The Sweet of It, and I'm so glad I did! These pictures make me want to slip n slide again…If only I wasn't scared of possibly splitting in half while doing it, haha.

Oh wow! I wish they would do something like that where I live in Pennsylvania. That would be so much fun.
