Rosa Parks sparked a revolution on December 1st, 1955, when, after a long day of work, she boarded a public bus in Montgomery, Alabama. When she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger, she not only fueled the Montgomery Bus Boycott, but also quickly became an inspiration and symbol of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. Such a remarkable woman, don’t you think, friends! It’s women like this that give me strength and courage, especially in those dark times. Fun fact: The actual bus is on display at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan! xoxo
