In The Pursuit of Happiness: Shailene Woodley on falling in love

Confession: I never really knew who Shailene Woodley was apart from being “that actress on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” But with two mega films on the way (this month’s Divergent and June’s The Fault In Our Stars), Shailene seems poised to be the next J-Law! She spoke to The Hollywood Reporter recently, where she discussed her approach to love…

“I fall in love with human beings based on who they are, not based on what they do or what sex they are.”

That’s it. She’s my new girl crush. Forever. Such a refreshing way to look at relationships, to strip everything down to the essence of who a person is, not what they are. No conditions. No labels. It’s so freeing, isn’t it? Bravo, Shailene! I love you — oh gosh, did that sound too creepy? xoxo

She really is awesome! I already liked her a lot because she was so good in the Descendants, but reading this quote made her all the more amazing. Can't wait for the Fault in our Stars either, though I'm also a tiny bit worried that it won't even come near how good the book was…

She has classic elegance with a refreshing down-to-earth attitude that she said in an interview – she gained from her laid-back way of life in Hawaii. 🙂
