My uncle and his family are off to New York City today to ring in the new year in Times Square, and the Huffington Post just shared 10 reasons it’s OK to spend New Year’s Eve at home, with some pretty spot-on GIFs.
Now, the last time I stayed up until midnight was, I think, when the clock struck 12am on Y2K — I had to see if the universe was going to implode. It didn’t. So, it’s safe to say I’ll be staying in this year (and will probably be in bed by 10pm), but what about you, friends?
Would you rather party until the big ball drops, or have a relaxed night at home? And…GO… xoxo

Every New Years from aged 19-24 I went out with friends to the local pubs and bars for New Years – all i remember now is all the crying girls in bathrooms, too many drunken fights etc. Then again us Brits have a bad reputation for public drinking which doesn't help. More then happy to stay home with the TV and have a couple of drinks in these days!

I prefer a quiet cozy evening at home. Been out for New Year's Eve in the past and it wasn't as exciting as I anticipated. I like to fix a nice dinner, watch a movie and get in bed at my usual time. Haven't been awake for mid-night in many years. Best wishes to you for 2014.

I prefer to stay at home, but last night I went to see the fireworks at the beach and it was amazing. Too many people, but it was worth it.

Depends on my mood, really! This year we stayed at home and watched a movie, but I do love a good get together if the company is right!
