Speaking of hometowns, here’s a quiz for your Friday: What does the way you speak say about where you’re from? The New York Times recently published the fun quiz, complete with your own dialect map. That’s my map, above, which is surprisingly pretty accurate.
You can take the quiz here, and go ahead and post your results in the comments! What does your map look like, friends? xoxo

I'm a new follower from The Militant Baker and already loving your blog! This was great fun. My map (http://nyti.ms/1jQkoQo) is dark red in California, and two of my most similar cities are very close to home! I'm impressed by how well this pinpointed my location.

I did this last week and it pinpointed exactly where I'm from. It picked the three cities that surround the small town I grew up in.

I did this as well, and although I grew up outside the States, I came back every summer to visit my relatives in California. Surprisingly, my lingo is closest to that from Philly and Newark, NJ!

I took the quiz and I came up with where I live. I guess I am from where I speak.

That's so cool, it picked up my hometown (though not the town I live in now). So I guess it's very accurate!
