What if you won the lottery…?

Did you guys catch last night’s series premiere of Lucky 7? The new ABC drama follows seven gas station employees who win the lottery after years of chipping into a group pool. But if I know my television — and you all know I do — something tells me that not everything is going to come up roses and sunshine post-win. After all, anyone remember a little show called Windfall?

But, the question still remains: What would you do if you won the lottery? Would you invest it? Save it for a rainy day? Hop on a one-way flight to Vegas? I’ve been thinking a lot about this question, and here’s what I’ve come up with…

1). Plan a big reunion of my people — people with Freeman-Sheldon Syndrome, that is. I don’t there has ever really been a large reunion for us, and it was be so nice to meet others who have “been there.”

2). Start a suicide prevention organization — this is obviously a cause that is near and dear to my heart. It would be a way to keep my father’s spirit alive.

3). Build my mom a private pool — she always says that she’s the happiest when she’s swimming, and she’d look so cute in her own pool.

4). Buy a penthouse apartment in NYC — how awesome would it be to wake up and see Central Park outside your bedroom window every morning? Plus, I’d take the publishing world by storm…

So, what would you do, friends? What must-dos top your list? I’d love to know… xoxo

Travel, travel, travel. And send my parents travelling too. And do some health development work in a less-developed country. And a whole lot of microfinance. And definitely #4 of yours too. And…! Love your blog, you are such an incredible inspiration. New follower right here xxx

I would definitely pay off my mortgage and buy a new car. Everything else, it would depend on how much the lottery winnings are! I'd love to buy some land and build my dream house, and own vacation property on a lake somewhere. It's fun to dream!

You're so good with your fantasy winnings! After paying off my school loans and my parents' home, etc, I'd probably spend a lot on clothes and then travel for as long as possible. It'd be enriching to see the world and not have to worry about how it fits into my job's vacation time.

Oh the possibilities! Can I come over to your NYC penthouse some day? I make fabulous cookies and cheesecake!
I'd definitely get a great house as well and help my mom build a school. I'd want to contribute to cancer research and finally splurge on a crazy purse and piece of jewelry. Needless to say, the travel would continue!
