“Hey, man, how’s it going?”
“Cool it, man.”
The word gives me visions of cool Beatnik poets wearing all black and performing their confessional slam poetry in smokey coffee houses — you know, the classic ’60s.

How awesome is that, friends? What words do you wish were back in the vernacular? Why do you like them? Do you find yourself saying them even if they’re not “popular” anymore? xoxo

P.S. Remember these overused words? And, made-up words are fun too! 🙂

Hun, I use the sayings "the cat's meow" and the "bees knees" like it they were in everyday usage. Also I wish the magic would be used more often. Like instead of saying that's awesome say that's magic.
Loved this post.

i say "man" ALL the time! "happy birthday, man!" or " oh man! someone ate the last of the ice cream!" it's one of my favs too! along with "nonsensical", "presumptuous" and "illuminating."

I say "dude" quite often. Which is funny because I started saying it when I dated a guy who said it… and this was back in 2003! Somehow it stuck and I STILL say it lol.

Oh, how I love a good word! "Ante-penultimate" has been my favorite lately–musicians use it plenty!
