The creative designer, who describes her line of rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings as “organic-, nature- or geometry-inspired, launched her jewelry line some six years ago and has never looked back. “I strive to make my jewelry feel current yet wearable for many years to come,” she says. So tell me a bit about your shop and the inspiration behind its launch

The studio is located in LA. I relocated from NYC last summer. In the studio, there are two assistants, a canary, and soon, a Berger Picard puppy. The jewelry line launched about six years ago after taking a few metal working classes. I realized I absolutely loved it; it reminded me of my fine art sculpture classes when I was a fine art major as an undergrad. A few years later, I launched my jewelry line while I was still a freelance illustrator. A year later, I had transitioned full-time into jewelry.

My favorite is probably the baby octopus. I’m an avid diver, and I love spotting one when I’m diving.  They are fascinating, intelligent and beautiful to see underwater and up-close.
