What’s the inspiration behind My Glass Slipper?
Every bride deserves to feel like Cinderella on her wedding day, and that’s why My Glass Slipper offers only the very best wedding shoes with personable customer service backed by decades of experience in the wedding industry. We know how important a bride’s wedding day is, and we do everything we can to ensure she finds (or creates!) her perfect bridal shoe.
What wedding trends are we seeing as we move into the late fall and winter months?
Many wedding shoe trends are season-less; brides love color and sparkle year round! Wearing blue shoes for “something blue” is a huge trend. Pink wedding shoes are also in high demand, and we’ve found that all shades of pink are season-less. While blues and pinks are popular throughout the year, fall and winter weddings often call for darker and richer hues, such as teal, burnt orange and royal purple. But by far, the biggest trend in the wedding shoe world is sparkle. Sparkly wedding shoes are a must for any bride who wants a glamorous, “glass slipper” moment as she walks down the aisle.
What’s your favorite trend when it comes to wedding shoes?
We love that brides are no longer limiting themselves to basic white or ivory shoes — they’re having fun with fashion and choosing dazzling styles! We can’t get enough of sparkly wedding shoes. Whether it’s a classic ivory peep-toe pump covered all over in Austrian crystals or a hot pink glittery bridal shoe, we love the glamour and style of embellished wedding shoes.
What’s the most important thing people should remember when choosing wedding shoes?
Brides need to find their own perfect balance of comfort and fashion. It’s important to remember you’ll be in your wedding shoes all day, and you’ll be miserable on the happiest day of your life if your shoes are uncomfortable or hard to walk in. There are many stylish flat- and low-heel wedding shoes for brides who don’t like heels, so you never have to compromise on style for stability. You can also buy a second, comfier pair for your reception, but you must wear a second pair with the same height as your first or your beautiful wedding dress will drag on the floor! We recommend wedge flip-flops or wedge wedding shoes as comfortable options.
It’s hard to choose one favorite from hundreds of wedding shoes, but one style we’re particularly proud of is the High-Falootin by Benjamin Adams & My Glass Slipper. We made the popular Charlize by Benjamin Adams wedding shoe even more spectacular by adding our exclusive “High” decoration, a beautiful floral decoration comprised of pearls and crystals. The effect is over-the-top sparkle that’s the perfect “modern glass slipper” for any bride.
