There’s nothing like fall in the Midwest. I realized something last week as I sat at my desk, which is also our kitchen table that looks out over a huge bay window: I have the perfect front-row seat to the changing seasons. And lately, it seems like fall has been popping up everywhere, giving way to leaves of red, orange and yellow hues. In fact, I couldn’t resist taking a little stroll this morning and snapping a few photos of fall in all its glory.
Have the leaves started changing in your neck of the woods, friends? Wouldn’t it be fun to go on one of these fall foliage tours? xoxo

I think the fact that they are changing so quickly in the Chicago area is due to the Drought and the HOT weather we had this summer. There are a lot of trees around where I am that have already dropped. They shed their leaves and the leaves did not change color.
While I love Fall, I can not stand the allergies that I get this time of year. I try to go about doing what I do during the day but with itchy eyes and sneezing etc.
OH well. Midwest girl born and bred and even went to college in the Midwest (South bend Indiana what I call the pollen capital of the world until this year). I did live one year in So Cal and I missed the change of the leaves and the season. I was happy to come home.
