What inspired you to start the shop?
I’ve been a buyer for 20 years. My last job was as the accessories buyer for White House/Black Market. By 39, I thought it was time for me to realize my dream, and I opened my own store in Annapolis, Maryland, in 2005. I then partnered with my dear friend, Beth. She takes care of the store operations and customer service, and I do the rest! The online shop was launched in 2007.

What’s your best piece of advice for people looking for great online
shopping deals?
I make sure I sign up for my favorite Web sites; this way, I always receive their emails and know when they are offering any deals.

In this recession economy, what are some ways people can still look
chic for less?
We are aware that people love deals, so we created our Cheap and Oh So Chic category on our Web site. It sells only affordable, chic items.
What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
My favorite piece is the AV Max Cord bracelet. I have it in every color!
