Confession: I get oddly excited about getting my haircut. As in, get-giddy-about-it-days-before-I-go excited. I know, I know. I never change the style, but my hair grows so fast that after a couple of months, I find myself rolling into Great Clips out of sheer (pun intended…) and get my hair chopped. I had a doctor’s appointment this morning, and right after, I went to get my haircut. Don’t think I need one? I submit the evidence, above, in which you can barely see my eyebrows. But I’d love to be able to pull off bangs…

My hair is too fine for bangs…I tried it and they always looked ridiculous. What I wouldn't give for Zooey's bangs though.

I always have very long hair, so I do not like my hair cut, even if it's just bangs.
Besides, as soon as my hair get's shorter than 7 inches, it starts to get a bit curly like pigtails & my bangs look awful.

I've tried them…I liked them, but they are tough to grow out.
I just cut off like 8 inches of my hair to a bob. I alternate between hating it and "AHHHH!!"

I wish, wish, wish I could have bangs, but I have a cowlick right in the middle of my forehead, so I would have to straighten/blow dry them every day, and even then they probably wouldn't look great. Every hairstylist I've ever had has pretty much refused to give me bangs because of this. 🙁

Haircuts cripple me with fear–and sometimes, embarrassingly enough, tears, but I bit the bullet a few years ago and cut bangs! I loved them, and John even more, but eventually I grew 'em out–too much fuss!

I got lately a haircut and got bangs again. Even I have quite fine hair, It's ok with bangs. I can't ever have a hair like Miss Dechanel's, so when I ask for bangs from my hairdresser, he knows what style to cut that fits to me.

haha I'm with you! I always get so excited to get my hair done! Though, it definitely does not grow fast- which I hate! You are lucky.
I love the bangs look on girls but I always find mine to get so greasy so personally, I don't do them 🙂

Ah, the great bang debate… I love how they look on everyone else. I get them cut. I hate how they look on me and how they don't ever seem to lay just right. So I resort to growing them out and doing the no bang look. Way easier, most definitely. And then I look in the mirror and think…wow, that's a lot of forehead. I should get bangs…

Melissa, it seems to me that a 31-yr. old woman who feels the need to go on-line and ask virtual strangers for opinions about her hairstyle has waaaaaaay too much time on her hands!My advice? Ask YOURSELF what hairstyle makes YOU most comfortable and have it done. You're the one that looks in the mirror every day…you're the one that styles it…so guess what?? That means YOU get to choose the style you want. Big girls can do that, you know!!!!!!!!! This sounds like something that would be written on a 6th grade girl's Facebook page!
