Are you experiencing a heat wave this week in your neck of the woods, friends? I love the Midwest. I’m pretty sure I’ve said this a time or two before. And, as the old saying goes, the corn was knee high by the Fourth of July — that’s my mom getting the scientific evidence!
I’d love to know, friends: Where do you live? The Midwest? The East coast? Across the pond? What do you love about it? Is it hot today? xoxo
[Thanks for the photo, Mom…hope you don’t mind that I used it]

(but my heart is in ohio.. i grew up there, went to college there, and only moved here 3 years ago)
i had corn fields across the road from my house (and deer, and amazing sunsets!)
closest i get to that here is a farmer's market… but i'll take it for now! everyone needs a good dose of the city life, i think π
cheers!

I live in Seattle, the one place in the US that didn't get unbearably hot during the heat wave. π We're expecting some weather in the 80's this weekend though.
I love Seattle, the rain, the green, the people, the food, the randomness. π Not much in the way of fields in the city, but we sure do grow some amazing organic produce (Pike's Place Market anyone?).

I think, for some reason, I would love to live in Seattle..even though it is known for the rain…i've never been-just have this feeling

I live in Yorkshire in England π It's very wet and humid at the moment. Almost like we're having a monsoon season. It hasn't been really lovely out since about March π no summer for us Brits yet again x

I live in Los Angeles (for three more weeks! Then Texas! π ), and it's been soooo gloomy here. We have a phenomenon known as June Gloom, in which the mornings are really grey, cold and sometimes drizzly. This year it started late in June and is leaking into July. No one expects it in typically sunny LA, but this time of year can be pretty dismal!

I'm in Michigan now but i'm an English girl not coping too well with the weather. So so warm and different to an English summer!

Little Rock, Arkansas, where it's always THIS HOT in the summertime, or so it seems. I am OK with the heat, but we could use some rain! Everything is so dry and brown. Do a rain dance for us? π

Kentucky, and man it's hot alright. The other day the temperature "dropped" to 98 degrees and I considered it cool compared to the last couple weeks, ha!

Washington DC and it's terrible! We've been in triple digits for what seems like forever and the news this morning said it was going to start "heating up this weekend." I don't even want to think about what that means…

Austria… The country with the alps? yes! And with 32Β° Celsius. So it is really, really, really hot.

Chicagoland burbs and it is a steamy 108 according to my car temp and a bank temp sign I passed earlier on the way home.

I live in Central Virginia, and my area was one of the hardest hit by that derecho that blew through here on Friday night. Just got my power back on Monday afternoon, and not a moment too soon, as temps have hit the high 90s again, and are expected to top 100 this weekend.

I live in Alaska. Haines, Alaska. Small town of less than 2,000 folks at most, depending on the season. It's currently low 50s – definitely wore a thick sweater + a raincoat today + a knit cap. Feels like fall.
