Remember a few weeks ago when I mentioned that family picnics have never been our strong suit? Well, with the temp (finally!) cooling off yesterday, we enjoyed a nice picnic in the park. The sun was shining, and there was a nice breeze in the air, so we picked up Subway and settled into a picnic table underneath a shady tree. I love that gorgeous photo my sister took of the sun peeking through the tree, don’t you?
My sister played photographer for some shots because she hates having her picture taken. On the other hand, my mom and me…?
A beautiful biking trail led us to a scenic bridge overlooking the river.
As a treat, we walked across the street to Dairy Queen for ice cream. So fun! Have you been to many picnics yet this summer, friends? xoxo

It is nice, shannon…my sister is starting a phlebotemy certification class in the fall, so it's nice to spend this time together!

Very nice! I'd pick one the Mom-print for my mother, she has some pretty strong glasses and I'm guessing this gift would be touching and would make her laugh as well.
