Sponsor Spotlight: Rustic Gem Jewelry

Today, friends, I’m happy to share my recent chit-chat with Tracy, half of the creative team behind Rustic Gem Jewelry, an Etsy shop of fashion and bridal jewelry. She and her best friend Cheryl both enjoy expressing their creative energy. Read on to find out how the shop got its unique name and Tracy’s tips for looking chic on a budget! xoxo

So tell me a bit about you and your shop.
We [Tracy and Cheryl] have been best friends since we were kids and have always shared a passion for expressing our creative energy. This passion has sprouted our business making beautiful and unique handmade jewelry. Our work is expertly crafted, contemporary and affordable. The name Rustic Gem combines our love for the outdoors and nature with our other love of things that sparkle. We strive to create items that are special and that exemplify a rustic elegance. We take great pride in our craftsmanship and have a high attention to detail. Many of our pieces are one of a kind, so you will be wearing something unique and creative. We enjoy creating items of natural elegance that are contemporary and expertly crafted.

What inspired you to start the shop?
Ten weeks of bed rest with my youngest son!

What’s your best piece of advice for people looking for great online shopping deals?
Take your time and search not only for great deals, but great deals and great quality!

In this recession economy, what are some ways people can still look chic for less?
Get creative! Get key items that are versatile and go with a lot of things — make sure you have your staples that you love, and then you can enjoy the less expensive trendy items that may come and go quickly. Be creative with adjusting different items you have slightly to change with the fashion trends.
What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
Probably this coral flower and teal jade necklace. I’m in love with color, and new and bright and alive color combinations just put a smile on my face!
