The new trailer for The Great Gatsby has been making the blog rounds this morning, but I couldn’t resist sharing it. I remember my father explaining the symbolism of the final scene to me in high school and just falling in love with the book. The jazz! The fashion! The high society!

Wow how good does that trailer look?! Glad to see Carey Mulligan in a big part too – love her acting! I really hope it lives up to the book though – one of my all time favourites.

wow-first clip I have seen on it! I LOVED (LOVE) the book-Leo is not quite Robert Redford..or how I imagine Gatsby- but the film looks very entertaining!

Melissa, ditto! I never finished reading the book in High School. I could not 'get into it' somehow. I didn't like the 1974 film version either. I must try now because I have only recently started enjoying Leo onscreen. I love that he's lost most of his 'babyface' charm.
