Once upon a time, in Berkhamsted, UK, at our parents home, my brother and I cycled the day away finding ways to annoy and fight with each other.
This is how my Grandad used to hold me… now I am holding him.
Thank you for reminding me that if I wait just a little longer the seasons will always change.
My legs are longer. My arms are longer. My shadow creeps out from around me a little more. But after 13 years, I’m still the same shy girl who doesn’t like getting her picture taken.
Why did we ever stop pretending we were the Spice Girls?
Thirty two years later I still catch them holding hands.
I hope something as simple as a piece of chalk will always remain so entertaining.
I miss the days when we were so close…
I’ve always loved the concept behind Dear Photograph: People blending their old photos with the present-day location. There’s a noticeable contrast, yes, but also a sense of comfort in the memories portrayed in the photos, along with the heartfelt captions.
Well, fans can now enjoy the popular series in a special collection, Dear Photograph The Book, out today. Taylor Jones, who started Dear Photograph more than a year ago, selected some 200-plus photos for inclusion in the book, including the cover photo by Luis Picolo.
Doesn’t the book look awesome? So many wonderful stories and memories! You can buy the book here. Congrats, Taylor!
