Bully movie

Bully, which has sparked criticism over its R rating, opens in theaters on March 30th. I wish the MPAA would change the rating to PG-13, so the film could reach the very demographic that desperately needs to see it. Are you going to see it, friends?

P.S. Remember Dear Bully?

**Update: Here’s a petition to get the MPAA to change the rating. There’s already more than 450,000 signatures!! Be a part of the change and stop bullying!

    it's really mind boggling how the violent movies can be pg13, but a movie about kids being violent is rated R?

    I heard about it, and I want to see it! But I can hardly stand the sight of a LITTLE bruise, so, anything R-rated isn't for me :
    But my sisters are going to watch it and tell me how it is:}

    This is a very important message and I really appreciate the attention the media is giving this issue. I will definitely watch and support the moment against bullying

    I am so happy that a mogul like Harvey Weinstein embarked in such a magnificent project! Let's change the world, one movie at a time! My prayers to those who suffer the bully at so many different levels! xoxo

    And sure, the Rate has to be modified. Furthermore, this movie has to be shown in schools all over the world!

    There is a petition you can sign to get the rating changed.

    Sara has a link to it on her blog here:

    Yes, I fully intend to see this film. It looks so heartbreaking, but necessary. I, too, hope that they lower the rating so that middle/high school aged children can see this film.

    Elsa, you're so right. This movie should be REQUIRED viewing in health class!

    Well, luckily the movie will be available on DVD at some point or another. Kids can watch it then.
