My 100-Word Love Story: On being able to laugh at yourself

In college, I got involved in a week-long charity event. I fancied the leader of the group so much that I did something I had never done before: Sing in public! But not just any singing — karaoke singing of a Karen Carpenter song. Couldn’t have picked something more difficult, could I?! For years, I looked back in horror and embarrassment, especially since he chose another girl from the charity group instead of me. Now I can’t even remember his name. Moral of the story: No matter how bad it seems now, in 10 years, you won’t even remember his name.

P.S. Congrats, Roanna, on the little one on the way! 🙂

That's a great story! It's true, no matter how embarrasing things seem in the moment, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter 🙂 xoxo
