Here’s an interesting question, friends: What did you do with your wedding dress after your wedding? My mother gave hers to my uncle, who took it home to Egypt with him to pass on to a woman who could use it. I love that idea. I also love the idea behind this vintage 1930’s wedding dress. Sigh…now if only I could find one in my size.
What about you, friends? Would you wear your wedding dress even if it wasn’t your big day? Do you know anyone who has? Do you still have your wedding dress? What made you ultimately choose the one you wore? xoxo

I like that dress, but with winter quickly approaching I'm cold just looking at it. I got my emerald green calf-length dress on ebay and fortunately it fit when it arrived. It's not a wedding dress, but it was perfect for me and for our civil ceremony with only 4 friends in attendance. Although I haven't worn it since, I think I might again…if it still fits, that is!

That's such a nice idea… I still have mine even though I'm divorced. I designed it myself and had it made from scratch so it's special to me simply from that aspect. I might get it dyed and wear it as an evening dress 😉 Have a lovely weekend, Love from London xo

My best friend wore a simple white sundress, and she's planning on wearing it on her anniversary every year. I'm chosing to wear a bridesmaid dress instead of a traditional bridal gown so I could wear it again to a more formal occassion.

silver, that's an awesome tradition!
What color is your dress going to be?

I still have my dress. I actually tried selling it for very cheaply so someone else could wear it, although I didn't get a lot of responses. It's a beautiful dress, though! If I can find an organization that will take it, I would love to donate so someone else can wear it 🙂 I think it's good karma.

My wedding dress is hanging in my closet. But it wasn't a wedding dress really. It was a very fitted, long-sleeved, high-neck purple day dress. I would wear it again if it fit me — ha ha, like that would ever happen!

my dress (which I haven't worn down the aisle yet- I will in January though!) isn't really for everyday wear. Not sure what I will do with it. I kind of treasure it now, so I will probably do the same and keep it in a closet and look at it for a while. I might decide to give it away or something eventually.

I'm pretty sure my mom rented her dress, so I've never seen it in person. She did give me her wedding shoes, though. My boyfriend's mother offered her dress to me, but it was damaged so I declined. Never occured to be to get it cleaned – DUH! She gave it to another lady who couldn't afford to buy a dress, so at least it went to some good use!

oh, jenny, not too long until January…bet you're getting excited! 🙂

Anon — i like the idea of renting a dress!

I like that dress. I kept my wedding dress but its too obviously a wedding dress for me to be able to wear it again.

When my best friend married, she chose a very simple white sundress that she plans on wearing every year on her anniversary.
