Fall favorite #2: Plaids and polka dots

I’m loving this next fall favorite: According to ELLE, plaids are back! I’ve actually missed the ’90s’s staple. I rocked a lot of plaid back in the day, and of course I wore it proudly…does that mean I was ahead of the trend?

Also making its mark again? Polka dots! Is it just me, or is there something mesmerizing about polka dots? I’ve always thought they were so fun and breezy – the sort of vintage outifts from the ’40s and ’50s that make you want to dance the night away at a sock hop. Here are some of my favorite plaid and polka dot finds…

Mossimo Supply Co., lightweight plaid shirt, $22.99; Flannel plaid pajama set, $28; Plaid fabric buttons, $6; Plaid ties, $18, Polka dot smiley socks, $0.95; Polka dot sun hat, $7.97; Juicy Couture cardigan, $188; Polka dot headband, $17.99; Polka dot cherry red dress, $77.99; Polka dot sun dress, $118.

What about you, friends? Are you going to try the plaid or polka dot look this fall? Have you tried it before? Do you prefer one over the other? Let’s chat! xoxo

P.S. A fun MEMO TO MEN coming up soon! 🙂

P.P.S. More plaid love here.

P.P.P.S. Don’t you love this hilarious lumberjack pillow?

Love polka dots…I actually found an old polka dot skirt in my mom's closet. Excited to alter/wear!

I love polka dots and I love plaid! Plaid just says "hey, I'm casual but I still care about how I look."

I love that black & white polka dot dress…isn't it great that polka dots never go out of style?
