I never realized it until now, but all my family — my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins — got married in the summer. Maybe that’s why I’ve always pictured myself getting married on a warm June day or at sunset on a breezy August night. That is, until I stumbled upon Vera Wang’s Fall 2011 Bridal Collection. These dresses are so magical, light and dreamy, don’t you think, friends? I love how they are unique and stray a bit from the traditional wedding dress.
I’d love to know, friends: What kind of wedding dress did you wear? Were you more traditional when it came to your gown? Do you still have your dress?
P.S. Fun Fact: My mother gave her wedding dress to my uncle’s relatives in Egypt.
P.P.S. Remember this awesome dress from the Salvation Army? Plus, other wonderful weddings!
Note: Ooops! I accidentally set this to post yesterday! Must be a case of the Fridays for me! 🙂

These are incredibly beautiful.
That is amazing of your mother!
I saved mine in hopes that one of my 7 sisters could use it one day! 🙂

I think a spring/summer wedding is so much better because winter weather is just miserable and no one wants to get stuck in a snow bank on their wedding day.
Great dresses.

I was married in the last week of May, last year. I wore a dress with silk taffeta rosettes, beautiful layers of lace, and a gathering of roses at my waist, on the left side…
I sometimes want to put it on again, just because of how lovely it makes me feel.

I was married once before and after my divorce I wanted nothing to do with my wedding dress.. so I bought a bottle of champagne, and went to cutting. I was the corpse bride for Halloween that year. :]
