This month marks the 42nd anniversary of Woodstock, the famed festival celebrating all the gloriousness of peace, love, harmony, getting together, smiling on your brother and draping yourself in love beads. These photos by photographer Daniel Gurton make me want to dance barefoot in a lovely, sunny field full of flowers. They’re so dreamy and stunning…
…and wouldn’t you love to wear these on a cool and crispy autumn evening? I’d love to know, friends: Would you ever considering wearing flowers instead of a veil on your wedding day? What kind of flowers would you wear? What are your favorites? xoxo
P.S. More Woodstock love.

I would wear the first one, for sure! I've always wanted a lacy white wedding dress with a sage green sash…and that "crown" would look so pretty with it. Hmm…now just to find a groom…

I wore flowers in my hair at my wedding, and my daughter (chief bridesmaid at 10 years old) had some in hers too. They looked really pretty. Have also been known to stick feathers in my hair too, but I didn't have them in for the wedding on account of there being Limits to what nonsense my Mother will stand from me!

How pretty! That's a great idea. I've always thought I'd feel weird wearing a veil – even wearing a big gown feels a little costume-y!. I wish I had saved my corsage from my prom night. I wonder what it is about flowers that is so special? Maybe it's a girl thing!
