After getting together with my friend and her daughter at the park yesterday, I got to thinking about childhood. Honestly, and this may sound completely strange, but I had the best childhood I could ever imagine. I remember days of laughing and playing outside and even eating ice cream sandwiches in the hospital cafeteria. I’m thankful for those memories every single day, and it makes me smile to see other children having fun — that pure joy and carefree spirit that naturally comes with looking at the world through the eyes of a child.
I’d love to know, friends: What’s your favorite childhood memory? What’s your first memory?
P.S. I’m trying to figure out what that magazine is on the table. Can anyone tell what it is? 🙂

I have so many wonderful memories of my childhood as well…I can't even begin to pick one. I especially loved Christmas around our home. Even though we didn't have a lot, my parents went all out to make sure the holidays were special for us. And my dad's classes (he teaches high school) would always adopt a needy family and I remember getting to deliver presents with him. And then my parents would have a big open house every Christmas Eve for everyone who didn't have family to celebrate with. They still do…every year. : )

My first memory is from when I was TWO! Can you believe that? It was of taking a road trip in a blue car, to my grandfather's funeral.
My favorite memory of being a kid is playing outside during the summer with my little brother & sister. Those were the days. :]

Thanks for commenting on my blog! My favorite childhood memory has to be watching kids Inc. And Mickey mouse club with my cousin, then putting on our dance costumes and pretending we were on the show. Little did we know we were dancing along with fergie, britney, the girl from Felicity, Justin and christina! (I leave Jennifer love hewitt out of this elite group.) ps- I'm loving your childhood pics. I saw the one with the Popples! Loooove it!

The magazine looks like it might be a TV Guide. Favorite childhood memory: playing outside with all of my friends after dinner until late at night during the summer. Then going home, taking a shower putting on PJ's and watching tv. Bliss.
