I had one of those Heartland pride moments yesterday. We had a huge rainstorm in the morning, and I love nothing more than the smell in the air after a summer rain. That, and looking out over the expansive cornfields, which, as the saying goes, are knee-high by the Fourth of July. Yes, living in the Midwest is truly magical, friends! xoxo

I also love living where I do in the midwest. We are farm country and I love the wide open spaces and fields of corn in the late summer. I love the cows, horses and occasional wild turkey and deer. It's a beautiful world we live in 🙂

I found myself wondering the other day why this area is called the midwest! It's more situated in the east. haha! So confusing. :]
I know what you mean though. I love Texas more during the rain. :]
