Misty Mountain Wedding.

I recently came across the awe-inspiring work of Kirk Martin, a Seattle-based wedding photographer. He used the backdrop of Mount Rainier to capture Tara + Bret’s special day. It’s such a romantic story: The couple chose the mountain view because they met while working as park rangers! How sweet is that?

They walked hand-in-hand along a peaceful green path.

And although the sun didn’t come out much that day, the misty photos captured the mood perfectly.

They also added a little touch to the top of the pies. Genius, no?

What backdrop would you choose for your wedding, friends? xoxo

P.S. More scenic weddings: A rainy-day wedding, an Irish wedding, a wedding on the lake, a desert wedding and a wedding in Iceland!

Mt Ranier is beautiful. Although I feel sorry for the bride because it sure was cold.

If we could have afforded it 28 years ago when we got married we would love to have gotten married in Hawaii with a lot of colorful flowers and water scenes everywhere. That would have been ideal. But…a little white church in Massachusetts, with chipping paint and only room for about 50 people, worked just fine. 🙂 I love him today just as much as I would have had we had an ideal wedding. The marriage is ideal enough.
