Dream Vacation: Giraffe Manor.

Just outside of Nairobi, Kenya, is the famed Giraffe Manor, set on 140 acres of indigenous forest. Here, you can see giraffes up close and personal – literally! The small, personally hosted hotel is famous for its resident herd of giraffe! Can you imagine eating breakfast and seeing them peek their cute necks through the window?
I love the inspirational backstory: The hotel was built in 1932 by David Duncan, and in 1974, American couple Jock and Betty Melville purchased the manor as their home. At the time, Rothschild giraffes were on swiftly losing their natural habitat in the area, and were on the verge of extinction. So the Melvilles moved two of the giraffes onto their estate, where the species has lived and thrived since. The manor was officially opened to visitors in 1984.
Doesn’t that sound amazing, friends? xoxo

How exciting! I would love to spend just one night with them around. They are so graceful and beautiful. And have no vocal chords! So you wouldn't hear them, coming or going!

    That's a very unique hotel!

Hotels are the usual accommodation options for people on vacation. I spent my last vacation in New York. Apartment rental (short term or long term) is quite common in the area, so we opted for that. My friends and I definitely enjoyed the tourist attractions and clubs in the big apple.

Now, we are planning for our next trip. I'll definitely suggest the awesome place that you've mentioned in your post.

    Have a great vacation!
