Come On, Come On.

I think the laid-back summer vibe is getting to me. I wrote this over the weekend thinking how fun it would be to just be able to let go. With the right person, letting go can be a magical thing, and maybe subconsciously, I also had my disability in mind, too? You know, sort of a message to guys out there that, “Hey, you! Yes, it is OK to let go with me. Just give it a try!”

Lyric Contest Update: I took the chance and submitted my pieces for the American Songwriter magazine lyric contest yesterday. And yes, Give Us A Try, I Can’t and Crash & Burn were among the ones I submitted. The winners will be announced around August 15. I’m so excited! xoxo

It’s days like these when the sun is shining down on me
That I finally feel like I can breathe again
I never expected to fall so hard and fast for you
It’s been such a long time since I felt this way
So hey….

Come on, come on
There’s nothing holding us down
Come on, come on
We’re going to turn the world around
Come on, come on
I know you feel it too
So come on, come on
Baby, we ain’t got nothing to lose

So what do you say to just running away?
Sitting on the edge and dipping our toes in the water
And taking a little chance like it’s the last one we’ll ever have
Gotta grab this moment before it’s over

Come on, come on
There’s nothing holding us down
Come on, come on
We’re going to turn the world around
Come on, come on
I know you feel it too
So come on, come on
Baby, we ain’t got nothing to lose

You make me want to leave all my fears behind
Just grab the wheel and drive all night

Come on, come on
There’s nothing holding us down
Come on, come on
We’re going to turn the world around
Come on, come on
I know you feel it too
So come on, come on
Baby, we ain’t got nothing to lose

Come on, come on
There’s nothing holding us down
Come on, come on
We’re going to turn the world around
Come on, come on
I know you feel it too
So come on, come on
Baby, we ain’t got nothing to lose

If I understood, there is a participation in a singing contest.

Melissa … I really do not think I could attend … but I'm sure you
(I heard you got a video clip), you can participate in this contest with this song.
