My mother turns 54 today! Growing up, my sister and I called her Ms. Bear, and in fact, we still do to this day. She’s the quintessential Mother Bear, and she always had a way making us feel like her safe cubs, especially when I would be scared in the hospital. She, like usual, doesn’t want a lot of hoopla for her birthday, though she did insist that she’s going to pick out something special for dinner and watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians. We caught an episode of it while on vacation over the holidays, and now she’s hooked. She hates reality TV, so it’s sort of cute.
Thanks, Mom, for being the best Ms. Bear in the world. I love you! xoxo
