Sponsor Spotlight: Reverie Boutique.

Have you visited Melissa’s Reverie Boutique shop?

Her theme this year is Peace on Earth, something we all need more of in our lives, and I had the chance to get the exclusive scoop on her shop and her many inspirations.

**Shopping alert: Melissa is offering a 15% discount on any Reverie Boutique order. She’s also currently offering FREE SHIPPING on all US (domestic) orders. Just use the exclusive offer code PEACE**

Hope you enjoy!

So tell me a bit about Reverie
I was inspired to launch Reverie when my little girl was born. I valued the idea of staying at home with her, yet I still desired an outlet for my own creative energies. Combining the blog and the boutique has enabled me to write, share my passions of supporting small artisans, travel, food, yoga, and art. Now that the world is so technologically driven, I felt an online boutique filled with incredible products from around the world would be a great offering to those who seek unique, well-crafted, and beautifully designed items. Many of the artisans I have chosen for Reverie also believe in sustainable and eco-friendly living. This is definitely a dream come true for me!

What’s your best piece of advice for people looking for great online shopping deals?
When looking for great online shopping deals, I tend to search for quality more than anything else. Deals can be found everywhere, but to me, it is important to spend my money on an item that has been made or designed by someone with a story, someone who followed their dreams. So many products that are in this world do not have any ‘soul’; they are just mass-produced. It is so vital for consumers to support the small businesses and indie artisans in this world because they are the creative masterminds who add soul to the buying and giving experience.

In this recession economy, what are some ways people can still look chic for less?
The current economy has definitely made all of us count our pennies, yet I do believe it is still possible to look chic by re-working older pieces in your wardrobe, adding a new scarf to an outfit, and shopping vintage/consignment shops. Last week, I found an incredible pair of jeans and a beautiful grey cashmere sweater at my local consignment shop, and I only paid $30 for both pieces! It felt so good to find a deal and recycle!

So About What I Said is a daily blog that covers relationships, disabilities, lifestyle and pop culture. I love to laugh and have been known to overshare. I also have an unabashed obsession with pop music, polo shirts, and PEZ dispensers. Read more...
