Sponsor Spotlight: Old Soul, New Heart.

We’ve got a great new sponsor, friends! The lovely mother-daughter power team behind Old Soul, New Heart gave me some great information on their shop – along with some tips! Hope you enjoy!

So tell me a bit about Old Soul, New Heart
We are a mother/daughter team that has always loved creating beautiful things, but it wasn’t until this past year that we were on vacation and decided to put our creativity into action. We started brainstorming and creating headbands and jewelry independently and found we had similar visions for our little company – feminine pieces for modern women, but with a vintage flair. We collect both old and new pieces, re-working them into new designs.

What inspired you to start it?
Grammy was Tamara’s grandmother, and she was a stylish lady who liked stacking on jewels, furs and lots of accessories – only in the most glamorous of ways. In the summers, she taught Tamara how to sew – fast-forward a few years and Tamara instilled that same love for fashion and creativity into the shop!

What’s your best piece of advice for people looking for great online shopping deals?
Most companies have either a blog or e-mail subscriptions; if you love the company, follow those because you will always be the first to hear about deals they are running because often it is for a short time.

In this recession economy, what are some ways people can still look chic for less?
Our favorite way to change up a look without spending a fortune is through accessories – you can change the style of an outfit completely without having to buy a new wardrobe.

So About What I Said is a daily blog that covers relationships, disabilities, lifestyle and pop culture. I love to laugh and have been known to overshare. I also have an unabashed obsession with pop music, polo shirts, and PEZ dispensers. Read more...
