MEMO TO MEN: You’re Quite The Quotable Bunch.

MEMORANDUM
TO: Men all over the planet
FROM: Melissa
RE: Something to remember
DATE: November 5, 2009

I found this quote, and couldn’t resist giving you a bit of a reminder, though don’t get your hopes up about the whole sleeping with part(in my case, substitute talk with going to bed):

“You go to bed with writers, you wake up with things written about you.”

What do you think? Is that a fair shake?

Then the writer is slapped with a false light lawsuit!

Be careful out there – it's why I stopped writing about guys.

I am officially obsessed with that quote. And I do think it's accurate. The key thing to remember is where you write about boys – I keep my writing about relationships and cute boys locked up for my eyes only. 🙂

I think that it's true to a certain extent. I write about relationships often when they become "past tense". i'd never write anything embarrassing or disparaging about my current boyfriend out of respect for him and our relationship.

Ohh that quote is ever so true. I had an ex read my online diary because he stupidly googled his name one day to see what would come up. Talk about an egocentric guy!! He read it from page to page and then asked me when he confessed to reading it he was shocked & was like how could you write about me? I told him it was a diary & I never expected him to read it but I'm guilty of the writing. Great quote.

    LOL, Melanie!

Faux, I try not to write anything to evil. As far as those lawsuits are concerned, are there different laws for music? Some artists use names in their songs, you know? 🙂

And plleeeease bring the blog back!

No, literature and what not… memoirs, etc. I think, soon enough, there are going to be a lot of lawsuits involving blogs. The whole world of defamation, false light, invasion of privacy, etc. hasn't really been explored in the blogosphere.

trust me, there is a lot more I could say on here but don't. 🙂

Too funny! Makes me wonder when we'll be hearing a Taylor Swift song about Taylor Lautner!
