Regretting Words You Never Said.

I posed this question on my Facebook fan page, and it really got me thinking. I always say the saddest words are those that are never spoken. More often than not, we end up regretting what we don’t say rather than what we do say. While you can’t take back what you do say, once someone – or some time in your life – is gone, you’ll never get the chance to say what you wished you’d said. Ever again. That can be a scary thought, you know?

I do talk a lot (you know I do!), but I do wish there were some things I’d said to my father before he died, been a tad more outgoing in high school and said a thing or two to a boy or two.

What about you?

xoxo,

I actually blogged about this last year…it's good to have a reminder, and I'm glad you shared your thoughts. This society is too locked up in its own mire and NEEDS to have an outlet of expression some time!

It always works that way! We always regret more those things we didn't do than those we did.

I really dislike that about myself- sometimes I don't tell people how I feel. But I'm trying to change that.

i couldn't agree more…sadly sometimes we have to learn the hard way when we regret not saying certain things. the best thing is to learn from those mistakes so we don't repeat them.

I definitely think that you shouldn't go through life with regrets and say what you need to say. If not…it will stay with you forever (for me anyway) until I get it out there.

Your words of wisdom ring true for me. As I get older, I realize the truth in this, and find myself more and more, saying the things I should to those I care about who need to hear them. I only hope I can stay on course.

My Dad started getting sick a few years ago, then he and my Mom moved 900 miles away. It wasn't until then that he started telling my sister and I that he loved us (though we always knew). It's nice to be able to talk more freely about our feelings.

I am really flaky about keeping in touch with extended family and friends, so perhaps they don't know just how much I love them. This is something I should definitely work on.

I'm going to start a list of things I'd like to say to people I'd like to say them to. Yeah. Then when I die someone can give the list to them. Or maybe when I write them down they won't seem so scary.

I wish I had told my ex boyfriend how much he truly hurt me when he broke up with me, and also to tell him about how unlikely it is for him to find someone who would tolerate his selfish personality

Hope that this area is the best location to contribute this… I simply just hoped to just let people inside the forum who lives in Oz know about a super top quality audio visual equipment online business named Ordio. I found them surprisingly by accident when I was searching for Sennheiser Headphones and it just so happened that these guys had the most affordable prices in the market. Not only that but they are extremely knowledgeable and even followed up on my investment to be certain that I was still happy. They buy out tremendous inventories of the best in home entertainment equipment so that they can really break the price down. Definitely visit their site if you're searching for some home electronics.
